WHO YOU MIGHT HOPE TO MEET
Borradill is home to a remarkable array of wildlife, many of whom you may encounter during your stay. Otters often visit the ponds in the woods, alongside herons, frogs, and toads. Red and roe deer wander the surrounding hills, while pine martens, mink, badgers, and foxes move quietly through the forest. Red squirrels, tawny owls, sea eagles, golden eagles, and white-tailed eagles add to the area’s vibrant birdlife.
The sea loch below Borradill is a Marine Protected Zone, a rich feeding ground attracting minke whales, large pods of dolphins, and porpoises. Beneath its waters lies an extraordinary variety of rare and protected species, from flame shells to northern feather stars, and much more.
Four seasons of inspiration, adventure, renewal and rest.
